This year’s banquet was held on September 21, 2019.  It was another great turnout with 148 tickets sold.  We raffled off two 12-gauge over/under arms company, a drone, and two Adirondack custom-made chairs. We had several tables – duck hunting, gun deer hunting, bow hunting, and women’s.  There were four silent auctions: pair of Diamondback binoculars, a 196 inch class set of whitetail antlers and two custom-made afghans.  There were also 96 door prizes again this year.  There was $1,900.00 donated from area sponsors that all went up on the raffle for the cash wall drawing. The food was catered by the Roxy again.

A portion of this year’s money raised will go to local gun ranges to help sponsor high school trap leagues.  This sporting activity is the fastest growing high school sport in the state.  Money donated will help offset the cost of the students having to buy shell safety glasses and hearing protection.  This money will be donated on behalf of UAW Local 578 membership and we have a couple other charities in mind that we think do great things in our community to sponsor outdoor activities that we will be donating to.

We would like to thank all of our private donors that made this banquet such a success, as well as thanking all the strong union members that volunteered their time getting donations.  With everyone’s help, it makes this year’s banquet a success!
