WHAT TO DO WHEN A WORK-RELATED INJURY OCCURS:
  1.  REPORT the work-related injury, no matter how slight, to a steward and First Aid Representative.  Did anyone witness the accident?  Get written statements from witnesses.
  2. IT’S YOUR RIGHT to choose any doctor or treatment center, for medical treatments or concerns, within a 100-mile radius.
  3. COOPERATE, but don’t give ANY recorded statements, verbal or written to insurance carriers, or the company, without your Union Representative.
  4. KEEP COPIES of all medical/doctor’s orders and restrictions as well as insist on the incident report in writing.
  5. FOLLOW DOCTOR’S ADVICE and work only within your restrictions.
